End of the Line 1987 DVD Comedy Bacon Balaban Barrie Russell

In a protest against the closing of the station in Clifford, Arkansas two railroad workers Will Haney (Wilford Brimley) and Leo Pickett (Levon Helm) from the South drive a train engine to Chicago. They hope by stealing the engine they will get the attention of the company president in an attempt to prevent the stations closing. At every town their plight gathers momentum with support from the locals. Haney and Pickett take their stand against company head Thomas Clinton (Henderson Forsythe). Clinton begins to lean toward their plight and does the unthinkable and let’s them kidnap him to help their protest.
